Toward a vibrant forest stewardship economy

Pictured Above: Forestree Collective Co-owner Jeremy Fisher took the stage at the Forest Innovation Summit in fall of 2023 to present on regional, community-scaled milling and manufacturing and its potential to increase stewardship on our forested lands.

Fisher spoke about the need for building ecologically-responsible products focusing on timber that is not presently utilized but is left onsite during forest treatments. CAL FIRE has a stated annual goal of treating 1 million acres of forestland each year and markets are needed to utilize material.

Forestree Collective’s work is focused on utilization of small-diameter trees in our products and is engaging with a nonprofit partner, Regenerative Forest Solutions, to engage with our wider community on supply-chain sustainability and ecological impacts of this work to create economy from this invaluable resource.
