Open House | mill & forest tour

To celebrate National Forest Products Week, we will open our doors to the public for an Open House on Thursday, October 24 between 10am and 2pm. Participants will get to see several wood products on display, our two mills and log deck, and potentially a milling demonstration.

At 1:00 pm, join Forestree Collective CEO, Jeremy Fisher, and Regenerative Forest Solutions Director, Temra Costa, for a talk and walking tour into the adjacent forest where they are engaged in forest stewardship across 90-acres of mixed evergreen forest. Registration is free but requested to communicate location details; please register here if you plan to attend.

BACKGROUND
Forestree Collective is a vertically-integrated wood products manufacturing company. Utilizing a highly-efficient, single-pass scragg mill, we convert small-diameter trees ranging from 6” - 12” diameter into sustainable, durable, wood products. Our team of architects and designers work directly with clients, interior designers, and businesses to build functional and lasting designs.

Regenerative Forest Solutions (RFS), is a non-profit organization dedicated to education, outreach and engagement for more resilient landscapes and communities. It’s largest endeavor at the moment is the Sonoma County Wood Recovery & Utilization Project, an initiative assessing the potential uses of wood harvested during forest health treatments. The project was funded by North Coast Resource Partnership via the Governor's Office of Planning and Research as well as the California Resilience Challenge. RFS Director, Temra Costa, will share opportunities to grow the forest stewardship economy in Sonoma County and beyond with ecology, economy and green jobs in mind.
